Job summary

Flow Student Ltd, part of MCR Property Group, is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to support the day-to-day upkeep of Clanny House, Sunderland. This hands-on role covers general repairs, routine maintenance and assisting the site team to keep residents’ living areas safe and comfortable.

Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, you will respond to reactive repairs, carry out preventative tasks and help coordinate room turnarounds during check-out and check-in. Full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Proven handyman, maintenance or facilities experience.
• Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing or joinery basics.
• Ability to work independently and with residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and handyman duties across the student village.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests from residents and site team.
• Undertake minor repairs including plumbing, electrical fixes, joinery and decorating.
• Log and update maintenance requests through the property management system.
• Support room turnarounds during check-out and check-in periods.
• Ensure communal areas are safe, clean and operational.
