Job summary

Homes for Students is the UK’s leading provider of student accommodation. We are recruiting a Maintenance Operative for Orme House, Newcastle-under-Lyme, 24 hours a week, 10:00–16:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance and high standards across the property. You will work with minimal supervision, liaising with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance within a similar environment or trades qualifications.
• Knowledge of safe working methods and health and safety obligations.
• Excellent customer care and ability to communicate progress.
• Organised, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance within the property.
• Ensure statutory compliance is maintained at all times.
• Report and respond to faults promptly and liaise with suppliers/contractors.
• Drive a high-quality customer experience through fast, effective service.
