Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking a Student Advisor (Money Support) to deliver specialist money advice and tuition fee debt support, helping students navigate financial challenges while staying engaged with their studies. You will work with Academic Schools, Finance, Student Services, Global Engagement and external funding bodies to resolve complex issues and promote financial resilience.

Responsibilities

Deliver an inclusive and accessible student money advice service tailored to individual needs.
Manage a caseload of students with tuition fee arrears using a case‑management approach.
Collaborate with Academic Schools, Finance, Student Services, Global Engagement and external funding bodies to resolve complex financial issues.
Support students to develop budgeting and money management skills to promote financial resilience.
Use data and student insight to identify patterns, risks and emerging issues for early intervention and better outcomes.
Identify students at risk of arrears and deliver early intervention to support retention.
