The University of Plymouth International College (UPIC) invites applications for a Student Experience Officer to join its welcoming campus community on the University of Plymouth.

This full-time role focuses on student services, finances, academic provision and visa compliance, helping international and local students have an outstanding experience.

You will work in a dynamic team, support enrolment, induction and events, and adapt to evolving needs of the college.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity with local and international stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in a customer service or student-focused environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications, or possess related sector qualifications/training.
  • Proven ability as a ‘team player’.
  • Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of demands.
  • Flexible attitude to work including occasional weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of teaching staff and involvement in enrolment, induction, finance and orientation of new students.
  • Support the delivery of an outstanding student experience meeting learning, wellbeing, welfare and safeguarding requirements.
  • Support Student Enrichment and Enhancement Activities and Student Council to amplify student voice.
  • Assist in new and existing projects related to the student experience.
  • Prepare administration of student-related paperwork such as examination board administration, results release and timetabling.
  • Under supervision, review and improve business processes through data analysis.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment and support changing needs of the College.

Job description

The University of Plymouth international College (UPIC) is looking for a Student Experience Officer to join its community on the campus of the University of Plymouth.

Hours: Full Time 37.5 per week

UPIC is an associate college of the Universityof Plymouthmanaged by Navitas, an international education provider. The college welcomes three to four hundred international students each year, aged from 16 years upwards and studying pathway programmes to access undergraduate or post graduate study at the University of Plymouth. The college has a strong and well-established student experience team achieving some of the highest outcomes for student satisfaction, academicoutcomesand student support in the Navitas Europe network.

The Student Experience Officer supports the college’s operational delivery including student services & finances, academic provision and compliance with visa expectations.

Youmayhave worked in a school, college or university environmentin a student facing role. You willhave anunderstanding ofstudent needs, ideally (but not exclusively) with international students. You will enjoycontributing toan exceptional student experiencein a welcoming and dynamic team.

StudentExperienceOfficer Duties:
  • Administration of teaching staff and involvement in the enrolment, induction,financeand orientation of new students
  • Work in support of the delivery of an outstanding student experience which meets the learning, wellbeing,welfareand safeguarding requirementsof our undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Support the Student Enrichment and Enhancement Activities within the college, such as planning and attending student events, and involvement in the Student Council, to support the student voice and continually look for ways to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Involved in supporting new and existing projects and processesdirectly relatedto the student experience.
  • Preparation of administration of student related paperwork such as examination board administration, results release,timetabling andexamination/invigilation planning
  • Under the direction of theStudent Experience Managerreview, conduct and improve business processes through analysis of data and willmaintaina continued focus on supporting outputs,successful operational and project delivery
  • The StudentExperienceOfficer will be working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. They will be expected to show flexibility and adaptability in meeting the developing needs of the College
