Job summary

UPIC at the University of Plymouth campus, managed by Navitas, is recruiting a Student Experience Officer on a 9‑month fixed term contract. The role supports student services, academic provision and visa compliance, in a busy, international education environment.

You will contribute to an exceptional student experience, working with staff and international students, and may be asked to occasional weekends/evenings to support events and enrolments.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity with local and international stakeholder groups.
• Experience in a customer service or student-focused environment.
• Proven ability as a ‘team player’.
• Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of demands.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings in support of student and administrative activities.
• Experience of working in a multi-cultural and/or international environment.
• Experience of UK visa sponsorship considerations and working in an education setting.

Responsibilities

• Administration of teaching staff and involvement in enrolment, induction, finance and orientation of new students.
• Support the delivery of an outstanding student experience meeting learning, wellbeing, welfare and safeguarding requirements.
• Support Student Enrichment and Enhancement Activities, including planning and attending events and Student Council participation.
• Assist in projects and processes related to the student experience.
• Prepare administration for student-related paperwork such as examination boards, results release and timetabling.
• Assist in improving business processes through data analysis and support outputs and project delivery.
• Adapt to a dynamic, evolving environment and collaborate with the college team.
