Job summary

UPP is seeking a Student Experience Coordinator based at the University of Reading to lead the Home at Halls student experience programme and engage residents in year-round events and campaigns.

You will work with University partners and Student Representatives to plan, deliver and promote activities that support wellbeing, satisfaction and retention, including evenings and weekends for events and open days.

Qualifications

• Experience in Higher Education or student accommodation is preferred.
• Experience coordinating student ambassadors or staff.
• Strong event planning, organisation and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Experience creating engaging digital content or social campaigns.
• Experience managing budgets and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a year-round Home at Halls programme of events, activities and campaigns.
• Coordinate event logistics including venues, suppliers, materials, staffing, promotion and risk assessments.
• Recruit, train, support and coordinate Student Representatives as ambassadors for the resident experience.
• Deliver engagement and communications activity to support customer satisfaction, retention and returner bookings.
• Support resident experience promotion at university open days, applicant days and recruitment events.
• Create engaging student-facing communications and social media content to encourage student-generated content.
• Build strong relationships with university colleagues, Students’ Union reps, student groups and partners.
• Manage budgets, monitor engagement performance and use feedback to improve activity.
• Provide support and share best practice with other UPP sites in the South region.
