Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a proactive Student Engagement & Development Coordinator to enhance the experiences of student residents. You will work with the Residence Life team to develop engaging communications, run campaigns and events, and build a sense of community across accommodation services.

You will coordinate content for Residence Life webpages, support marketing activities, manage student staff rotas, and deliver reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level standard (or equivalent qualifications/work experience)
• Experience of producing and delivering communications to a targeted audience, ideally with significant social media experience
• Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including Illustrator, Publisher, Canva
• Experience of CMS platforms and webpage maintenance
• Ability to effectively create and communicate reports to stakeholders
• Experience of developing and maintaining a network of relationships including external service providers
• Excellent organisational skills coordinating staffing rotas and planning event delivery
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills including customer service
• Ability to use initiative, work independently and be flexible to adapt
• Willingness to support the delivery of the programme including hosting events with families (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Lead on implementation of Residence Life communication strategies and promotion of events via webpages, newsletters, emails and social media
• Collaborate with the team to analyse data and develop reports for service improvement in terms of marketing activities
• Coordinate content for the Residence Life webpages and implement updates as needed
• Work with ACS Marketing to attend regular Marketing team meetings
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HE best practice and contribute to relevant working groups
• Manage student staff rotas and coordinate payroll data in collaboration with Student Support Managers
• Represent Residence Life and ACS at Open Days, Housing and Activities Fairs and other events
• Embed ACS Vision, Mission and Values into daily work and demonstrate Shared Skills and Behaviours Framework
• Carry out other duties commensurate with the grade and remit of the post
