The post holder will be expected to lead, develop and manage The Self-Regulation Room (SRR) to ensure academic progress and high-quality outcomes are secured for students with behavioural needs and learning difficulties. You will be able to demonstrate positive impact on those students with repeated or serious poor behaviour to enable pupils to access learning in the classroom.
Ideally, you will have experience in leading, offering and developing expert support to pupils with behaviour (including truancy and poor attendance) and learning difficulties in a secondary education setting. You will have experience of working with external agencies to support students and their families.
The successful applicant will liaise with all Heads of Departments to ensure all work delivered in the SRR is fit for purpose, relates to age related expectations and has impact, allowing students to reintegrate back to mainstream lessons at the earliest opportunity, when appropriate to do so.
As well as excellent interpersonal skills, you must have resilience and empathy and be able to work effectively under pressure, promoting the culture and vision of the academy by being a positive role model to all students, upholding a vision of inclusion and learning.
