Job summary

Rainhill High School is seeking a Year Student Manager to support and nurture students, promoting a positive ethos across the year group and coordinating welfare, behaviour and personal development. The role focuses on being a reliable point of contact for students, parents and staff to foster positive home–school relationships and effective feedback.

The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team, demonstrate strong organisational skills and a caring approach to safeguarding

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children and young people is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong commitment to equality and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for students, parents and colleagues to facilitate positive relationships.
  • Develop and implement action plans for student welfare and behaviour management.
  • Support day-to-day operations within the year group and contribute to its development.
  • Promote the school values and ensure confidentiality and safeguarding procedures are followed.

We are looking for a Year Student Manager who cancultivate a positive ethos and be responsible for the day to day operations, personal development,behaviour and welfare of a year group includingthe celebration of success, use of rewards and adhering to policies andpromoting positive role model behaviours.

This is a non-teaching role where youwill act as the first point of contact for students, parents and colleagues inorder to facilitate positive working relationships between the home and schoolwith accurate and effective feedback using effective behaviour managementstrategies and action plans for students.

It is not essential to haveworked in a school setting, however previous experience of working withchildren and young people is essential, as is a desire to want to make adifference.
