Job summary

City St George's, University of London invites applications for a Student Engagement Officer to support student learning and participation. You will work with the City Law School and support services to identify barriers to engagement and maintain attendance and engagement monitoring.

The role requires A-levels or equivalent, strong IT and communication skills, experience with student records systems (SITS) and careful data handling, plus excellent organisational abilities.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or equivalent.
• Experience in a busy customer-focused environment, ideally in Higher Education.
• Confident using IT systems including MS Office packages, spreadsheets and databases.
• Experience of student records systems (SITS) is highly desirable.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to draft correspondence and reports.
• Knowledge of data protection requirements and handling sensitive information.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse problems and identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and addressing barriers to student engagement.
• Providing administrative support for attendance and engagement monitoring.
• Working with students and support services to address concerns.
• Ensuring the reasonable adjustments policy is implemented effectively.
