About the job

As the Student Community Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in supporting partnership working between Cardiff Council, universities, Students' Unions and other stakeholders. You will act as a key link between organisations, helping to build consensus, coordinate activity and support collaborative approaches to addressing shared challenges and opportunities.

You will use evidence, insight and research to support partnership planning and decision-making, helping partners develop shared priorities and coordinate action. You will support senior leaders to oversee partnership activity while working with operational leads across organisations to enable delivery and maintain momentum. You will be able to gather, analyse and interpret information to support planning and decision-making, produce clear reports and briefings for a range of audiences, and manage competing priorities effectively. You will be confident facilitating discussions, identifying shared priorities and helping to translate ideas into coordinated action.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is committed to partnership working and motivated by making a positive contribution to student community life in Cardiff.
