Job summary

The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College in Wroughton is seeking an experienced Behaviour Lead to lead day-to-day behaviour management and pastoral support for students in Years 7–11. You will work with senior leaders to ensure consistent application of behaviour policies and to support teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional management of day-to-day management of the school’s behaviour, consequences and rewards systems for all students in Years 7 to 11, including strategic oversight, quality assurance and evaluation of their impact.
• Work with the Assistant Principal to oversee Student Support for all students in years 7 to 11.
• Act as a support network for all teachers, Assistant Principal’s, Faculty Leads and SEND team.
• Manage the school exclusion reintegration process in line with DFE guidance, meeting with parents, carers & external agencies of any excluded student.
• Manage, oversee and direct resolution of individual pastoral problems and welfare matters through the management and organisation of day-to-day pastoral work.
• The Behaviour Leader will manage the Student Support Team, under him/her will be: 5 non-teaching heads of year.
• The Behaviour Leader will line manage these members of staff and be responsible for their Performance Management.
• Manage & oversee the bus prefect system to ensure safe travel to and from school for all students.
