Job summary

The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College in Wroughton near Swindon is seeking an experienced Behaviour Lead to join our dedicated pastoral team. You will oversee day-to-day behaviour, reward systems and student welfare for Years 7 to 11, working with the Assistant Principal to drive high standards of pastoral care.

You will line-manage the Student Support Team and support staff, manage the exclusion reintegration process, and ensure safe travel for pupils through the bus prefect system, within

• Proven experience in leading behaviour management across Years 7–11.
• Oversee student support and welfare.
• Line-manage staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee exclusion reintegration following DFE guidance.
• Coordinate welfare and pastoral work day-to-day.
• Support bus prefect system ensuring safe travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional management of the school's behaviour, consequences and rewards for Years 7–11.
• Oversee Student Support and welfare in years 7–11 in collaboration with leadership.
• Line-manage and support staff including annual performance reviews.

All About You

Doyou have what it takes to join us? The Behaviour Lead we would like to joinus will be:

1. To provide professional management and beresponsible for the day-to-day management of the school's behaviour,consequence and rewards systems forall students in Years 7 to 11,including strategic oversight, quality assurance and evaluation of theirimpact.
2. To work with the Assistant Principal tooversee Student Support for all students in years 7 to 11.
3. To act as a support network for allteachers, Assistant Principal's, Faculty Leads and SEND team.
4. To manage the school exclusionre-integration process in line with DFE guidance, meeting with parents, carers& external agencies of any excluded student.
5. Tomanage, oversee and direct resolution of individual pastoral problems andwelfare matters through the management and organisation of day-to-day pastoral work.
6. TheBehaviour Leader will manage the Student Support Team, under him/her will be: 5non-teaching heads of year.
7. The Behaviour Leader willline manage these members of staff and be responsible for their PerformanceManagement.
8. Manage& oversee the bus prefect system to ensure safe travel to and from schoolfor all students.
