Job summary

The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Behaviour Lead to manage day-to-day behaviour, rewards and consequences for students in Years 7–11. You will work closely with the Assistant Principal to oversee Student Support and provide a strong pastoral network for staff and pupils.

You will also manage the exclusion reintegration process, support welfare matters, and line-manage Heads of Year, ensuring effective performance management across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading behaviour support and pastoral care in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to oversee student support for Years 7–11 and work with senior leadership.
• Proven track record in safeguarding, welfare, and anti-bullying strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day behaviour management, consequences, and rewards across Years 7–11.
• Oversee Student Support and assist Assistant Principal in wellbeing initiatives.
• Support teachers and SEND team; advise on welfare and pastoral issues.
• Manage exclusion reintegration in line with DFE guidance and liaise with families and external agencies.
• Line-manage Heads of Year and oversee performance management for related staff.
• Oversee bus prefect system to ensure safe travel for students.
