Senploy is recruiting an Attendance & Pastoral Support Officer for a Further Education college in South Yorkshire. This temporary, full-time role (37 hours per week) focuses on improving attendance, engagement and achievement among learners.

You will be on-site across the campus, building relationships, identifying barriers to learning, and supporting behaviour. Close collaboration with students, parents, teaching teams and student services will be essential to progress learners into further

Formación

• Experience in pastoral support, student welfare, attendance monitoring, mentoring, behaviour support or a similar role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of learners.
• The confidence to challenge poor attendance and behaviour while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience identifying barriers to engagement and supporting individuals to make positive changes.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and improve student attendance across the college campus.
• Proactively identify students at risk of disengagement and intervene.
• Build positive relationships with learners to understand barriers to attendance and achievement.
• Develop and implement individual action plans to improve attendance, behaviour and engagement.
• Engage parents and carers of students under 18 to encourage partnership working.
• Follow college safeguarding, behaviour management and incident reporting policies.
