Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a School Attendance Officer to join our partner secondary school in South Yorkshire on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

The role focuses on improving student attendance and punctuality by tracking records, contacting families, identifying barriers, and coordinating with pastoral teams to implement support plans. You will collaborate with staff to promote positive attendance.

Qualifications

• Organised and proactive individual.
• Experience handling attendance data or safeguarding is a plus.
• Strong communication with students, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Follow up on unexplained absences and contact families.
• Identify patterns of absence and work with pastoral teams to address concerns.
• Support attendance meetings and contribute to action plans.
