Job summary

United Colleges Group is seeking a Progress Coach to support attendance and student engagement across our campuses. You will contact students, log communications in college databases, and help implement action plans with staff to boost retention.

The successful candidate will have experience with young people, be empathetic and able to motivate and coach students to success, and work within a team to maximise learning outcomes. Enhanced DBS Check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people.
• Empathetic and able to motivate and coach students to success.
• Able to follow directions and work with managers to improve attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support curriculum colleagues by following up attendance and maximizing retention and achievement.
• Call/contact students to improve attendance and identify barriers to attendance.
• Record all student communications on college databases and use IT tools like Microsoft Teams.
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure students not meeting 85% attendance are followed up with an action plan.
• Collaborate with the wider student support teams to maximise attendance and success on courses.
