Job summary

York Students' Union is seeking an Advice & Support Development Coordinator to join the Advice & Support team at the University of York Student Centre. The role focuses on confidential 1-1 guidance to students on academics, wellbeing and university procedures, plus developing information resources and policy research.

You should be self-motivated with a proactive approach, and able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach.
• Ability to understand and explain a range of University policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day 1-1 advice to students on academic and wellbeing issues.
• Develop, deliver and disseminate advice information and resources.
• Conduct policy research and support wider students’ union campaigns and activities.
