Job summary

The University of York is seeking a Visiting Student Programme Coordinator to manage the portfolio of incoming study abroad opportunities and support undergraduate and postgraduate visiting students.

You will be the primary advisory contact and collaborate with partner institutions, Global Opportunities staff, and other university departments to ensure a seamless service across the lifecycle from enquiry to arrival and departure.

Qualifications

• Experience in Higher Education study abroad or related international work is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate a lifecycle of study abroad activities with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with student data management and funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Primary advisory contact for enquiries by phone, email or in-person/virtual appointments.
• Plan and implement study abroad events, fairs, and briefings for staff and students.
• Produce information materials, update webpages, and develop pre-departure resources.
• Coordinate contracts with partner institutions and track renewal timelines.
• Liaise with multiple university departments to align operations and support.
