Job summary

Tap Zenn in Loanhead, Midlothian is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join a growing steel fabrication business. You will fabricate structural components in a busy workshop, reading drawings and MIG welding, with overtime opportunities.

The role is permanent, full-time with a competitive hourly rate and a modern workshop environment on varied projects across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Experience as Structural Steel Fabricator or related roles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with structural steelwork.
• MIG welding experience.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable and positive attitude towards work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating structural steelwork from engineering drawings.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling steel sections.
• Working with beams, columns, plate work, and bespoke steel components.
• Using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely.
• MIG welding structural steel components.
• Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards.
• Working effectively as part of an experienced fabrication team.
