Job summary
pxGroup in Adlington is seeking a Structural Manager to lead the Structural discipline, set technical direction, and ensure safety, quality and cost efficiency across deliverables. You will drive design process improvements and coordinate with other engineering functions.
You will mentor engineers, manage governance, and oversee calculations, models, drawings, and reports, while supporting bids and projects with expertise in structural steel, DfMA, and strong knowledge of codes.
Qualifications
- Degree and chartered status required.
- Extensive experience in Structural Engineering at senior level.
- Strong knowledge of bulk material handling and related structures.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Engineers and Designers.
- Ensure outputs meet project specifications, standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Support Project and Bid teams with information and guidance (steel weights, configurations, engineering time, and concept designs).
- Lead the development of processes to improve efficiency and project delivery.
- Identify suitable sub-contractor supply chain and assess competence.
- Responsible for ISO 9001 procedures and templates; support audits.
