Arup is recruiting Structural Engineering students for a 6-week summer internship with our Buildings teams across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a student that is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Building Design sector to join a multi-disciplinary team.

Typical day includes carrying out structural calculations, analysis and modelling, selecting economical, low-carbon solutions, and communicating through drawings, sketches, digital modelling, calculation documents, BIM,

Qualifications

• Studying MSc/MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent
• Genuine interest in structural engineering and the built environment
• Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling
• Develop economical, practical structures that minimise embodied carbon
• Communicate through drawings, digital modelling, calculation documents, BIM, meetings and reports
