Job summary

Arup in the United Kingdom is offering a 6-week summer internship for Structural Engineering students within our Buildings teams across the UK. This role provides hands-on experience in structural calculations, modelling and practical design decisions in a multi-disciplinary environment.

You will work on analysing and modelling, selecting economical and practical structural solutions that consider embodied carbon, and communicating ideas through drawings, BIM, reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MSc/MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in structural engineering and built environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling.
• Assist in selecting economical and practical structural details while minimising embodied carbon.
• Communicate results through drawings, BIM, reports and meetings.
