Job summary

Arup is recruiting Structural Engineering students for a 6-week summer internship with our Buildings teams across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Building Design sector to join a multi-disciplinary team.

Typical tasks include carrying out structural calculations, analysis and modelling, choosing economical and practical structures, and communicating results through drawings, BIM, reports and meetings.

Qualifications

• Studying towards MSc/MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Genuine interest in structural engineering and a career in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling and develop economical, practical structures.
• Communicate results through drawings, sketches, digital modelling and reports.
• Support the team in pursuing sustainable development goals and innovative design solutions.
