Job summary

Zodiac Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer in Carmarthen to support a boutique consultancy on residential and mixed-use projects from inception through to completion. You will work with a close-knit team of engineers and technicians, producing robust design calculations and drawings using CAD, TEKLA, TEDDS and REVIT.

The ideal candidate has around 2 years UK experience, a strong Civil/Structural degree, and a willingness to contribute to the Chartered pathway.

Qualifications

• Strong degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience from within a Consultancy.
• Experience with residential and commercial buildings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the building structures team (predominantly residential and mixed-use) on projects.
• Prepare structural design calculations for review and submission.
• Utilise CAD/TEKLA/TEDDS and REVIT where required in design work.

Role: Structural Engineer

Location: Carmarthen

Salary: £32,000 to £46,000

I am working with a small, well-established, structural design consultancy based in Carmarthen.

The team is made up of experienced Structural Engineers and Technicians who largely work on the design of residential buildings, apartments blocks, schools, libraries, leisure centres and other mixed-use building projects from inception through to completion stage.

Due to ongoing success and a healthy pipeline of work, our client is seeking a Structural Engineer with around 2 years' (or more) UK experience, to join its team. This position will be assisting the building structures team (predominantly residential and mixed-use buildings).

To be considered for this Structural Engineer role you will have gained a strong degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have gained demonstrable experience from within a Consultancy. You will likely have a working knowledge of CAD, TEKLA/TEDDs and perhaps REVIT, and be able to design in contemporary materials. Previous experience working on residential and commercial buildings would be beneficial. You will work well as part of a close-knit design team and feel confident preparing structural design calculations.
