Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting on behalf of an innovative manufacturing company in Worcester for a Structural Design Engineer to develop robust structural designs and support projects from concept through to manufacture.

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team, using Solidworks or Inventor and AutoCAD 2D, performing FEA stress testing, creating BOMs, and liaising with sales to prepare timely quotations for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Solidworks or Inventor and AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience within Structural Design.
• Experience in Solar/Renewables sector desirable.
• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Working in the design team on a range of design projects for renewable sector.
• Taking a lead on R&D projects.
• Designing both parts and full systems.
• FEA - stress testing.
• Creating BOMs.
• Working closely with the sales team to enable timely quotations and present to customers.
• Modifying existing products across the range to maintain efficiency and competitiveness.
