Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Design Engineer in Norwich to take ownership of projects from concept through detailed design and delivery. You will work across mechanical and structural engineering, producing 2D/3D CAD models and documentation for fabrication.

The role involves hands-on engineering, calculations, and collaboration with customers and suppliers to meet project deadlines. SolidWorks experience and a background in mechanical design are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical design background required.
• Experience taking designs from concept to detailed engineering.
• Comfort with 3D CAD and fabrication translation.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts into detailed engineering solutions.
• Produce mechanical and structural designs.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Complete engineering calculations and FEA.
• Produce technical and manufacturing documentation.
• Support and present design reviews.
• Work with customers, suppliers and project teams.
• Manage your own design workload against project deadlines.
