Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to lead and coordinate Drawing Office activities across multiple projects in the structural steel sector.

You will oversee BIM models and construction drawings, manage design changes and RFIs, and coordinate internal and external drafting resources to meet programme deadlines. Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in the structural steelwork industry.
• 5+ years' experience using Tekla Structures.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent planning and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent construction-related qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review client design team drawings to ensure accurate structural modelling and raise RFIs where required.
• Identify and manage design changes, including raising variations through GMIS.
• Review project-specific BIM requirements and ensure all deliverables meet the required standards.
• Manage and coordinate external sub-trades and drafting resources.
• Liaise with Project Managers to establish project phasing and lotting sequences.
• Monitor planned fabrication drawing issues to ensure production hours and site delivery dates are achieved.
• Attend design team meetings, generally held online.
• Participate in internal project progress meetings.
• Prepare and issue weekly project progress reports.
• Work alongside the Drawing Office Manager to effectively manage internal and external project resources.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.
