Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the stroke pathway. This post suits an experienced Band 5 seeking progression or a Band 6 focusing on stroke, delivering high-quality SLT across acute, rehabilitation and community settings within an integrated pathway including hyper-acute and community services.

You will work within the SLT team and MDT, undertake instrumental dysphagia assessments (FEES/VFSS within competence), lead

Qualifications

• HCPC registered SLT with up-to-date dysphagia and communication assessment knowledge.
• Minimum 6 months' experience as Band 5 SLT.
• Experience with dysphagia management and communication disorders.
• Ability to work across acute, rehabilitation and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects for the SLT service within the stroke pathway.
• Provide specialist assessment and treatment for swallowing and communication disorders.
• Deliver SLT services across acute, rehabilitation and community settings.
• Collaborate with MDT and contribute to service improvement.
