Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5/6) with a clinical focus on stroke. The post covers acute, rehabilitation and community settings as part of the SLT team and MDT.

You will deliver high-quality assessment and treatment for dysphagia and communication, participate in service improvement, and work across Royal Blackburn Hospital and other sites as required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with stroke experience.
• Experience in dysphagia management and instrumental assessment.
• Ability to work across acute, rehab and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist SLT services to the stroke pathway across acute, rehabilitation and community settings.
• Lead relevant projects for the SLT service and contribute to service improvement.
• Promote understanding of clinical disorders and SLT services within MDT.
• Participate in a seven day/bank holiday rota and travel between sites as needed.
