Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work on the Stroke pathway across acute, rehabilitation and community settings. The role suits an experienced Band 5 or current Band 6 SLT wishing to focus clinically in stroke.

You will be HCPC registered and work within a multidisciplinary team including the Stroke pathway and community services. Flexible duties mayrequire travel between sites and six-day rota patterns.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
• Experience in stroke pathways and dysphagia assessment is desirable.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy to the Stroke pathway across acute, rehab and community settings.
• Lead relevant SLT projects within the service.
• Promote understanding of clinical disorders and SLT services.
• Undertake instrumental dysphagia assessment within competence.
