Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the stroke unit team. You will help patients regain function, assist with daily living activities and work within a multidisciplinary Neurosciences team including physiotherapy and nursing.

You will be involved in patient care, rehabilitation activities and supervision of exercises, contributing to compassionate, patient-centred care within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in healthcare settings.
• Ability to engage and motivate patients.
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day care: washing, dressing, toileting.
• Support activity and mobility therapy as directed by clinicians.
• Assist with balance training, gait re-education and stair assessments.
• Move and handle patients safely with appropriate equipment.
• Supervise simple exercise programmes for patients.
