Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is inviting applications for Rehabilitation Assistants to join the stroke unit team. You will work with physiotherapy and nursing staff to support early rehabilitation, promoting activity and functional independence in daily living tasks and mobility.

You will assist with exercise programmes, balance, gait, and patient handling, under guidance, with a focus on patient comfort and holistic care. The role involves day-to-day patient support on the ward.

Competenze

• Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Support or NVQ in Care.
• Essential: Evidence of completion of Physiotherapy Assistant competencies.
• Essential: Significant experience as a health care (support) worker in Physiotherapy services.

Mansioni

• Assist registered Physiotherapists with patient care and rehabilitation.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as washing and dressing, toileting and mobility.
• Teach and supervise simple exercise programmes; assess and teach walking aids.
• Assist with moving and handling patients in line with Trust policies.
• Assist with treatment such as balance training, gait re-education and stair assessments.
• Support moving/handling of heavily dependent patients using hoists and equipment; holistic care.

Formazione

Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Support
