Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the stroke unit team. You will help patients regain function, assist with daily living activities and work within a multidisciplinary Neurosciences team including physiotherapy and nursing.
You will be involved in patient care, rehabilitation activities and supervision of exercises, contributing to compassionate, patient-centred care within the NHS framework.

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 rehabilitation assistants to work within our nursing and therapy team on the stroke unit here at the NNUH. This is a new role bridging our existing nursing and therapies teams working with patients during the early rehabilitation phase of someone's post stroke recovery.
The focus of the role will be facilitating activity and improving function within day to day care. Daily support with washing and dressing, toileting, exercise therapy, mobility practice in both individual and group settings would be key part of the job role. Working within Neurosciences will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside not only an experienced and dedicated Physiotherapy and Nursing Team but also an experienced wider Multidisciplinary Team (medical, OT, Speech and Language). You will receive induction, supervision and support within the role and the opportunity to access teaching. These roles are vital to help us ensure that we meet with the Trust's vision to provide every patient with the care we want for those we love the most.
