Job description

We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks—building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, speed, and a smile. If you love a challenge and want to be part of something big, Comex 2000 is the place to be.

Are you a detail‑oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment? We are looking for a Streetworks Coordinator to be the backbone of our Programming team.

In this vital role, you won’t just be processing paperwork; you’ll be the person who ensures our field teams can work safely, legally, and on time. You will bridge the gap between planners, local authorities, and site crews, managing the permit lifecycle from initial request to final completion. Your eye for detail will prevent delays, manage risks, and keep our projects moving forward.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑End Processing: Accurately raise, monitor, and manage permit requests within our core systems.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle permit modifications (PMRs) and refusals head‑on, resolving clashes and duration issues with ease.
  • Compliance: Maintain consistent project IDs and prefixes to ensure every permit is perfectly aligned across our digital landscape.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • The Hub of Information: Deliver essential daily reports to workstreams, ensuring everyone knows their start/stop times and registration deadlines.
  • Audit Readiness: Log TLOS requests and maintain clear email trails for full accountability.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with Local Authorities to negotiate changes and ensure all agreements are documented.
Reporting & Administration
  • Data Integrity: Track registration due dates and prompt teams for required confirmations to avoid lapses.
  • Performance Tracking: Generate daily and weekly management reports that provide the "source of truth" for operational decision‑making.
  • Documentation: Keep our digital archives organized to serve as evidence of compliance and professional standards.
Requirements
Who You Are
  • Organized & Proactive: You don’t wait for things to go wrong; you flag risks early and manage SLAs with precision.
  • A Clear Communicator: You can translate complex permit statuses into clear updates for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Tech‑Savvy: You are comfortable using industry‑specific software (Aurora, Depotnet) and are a pro with Microsoft Office—specifically Excel and Power BI.
  • Process‑Driven: You enjoy following structured workflows but have the initiative to work independently and prioritise a busy inbox.
Your Experience
  • The Essentials: Proven experience in administrative or coordination roles where tracking and reporting were key.
  • The Bonus Points: A foundational understanding of Streetworks and permit management is highly desirable.
  • The Mindset: You are comfortable working in a team environment where your individual accuracy directly impacts the success of the wider operation.
