Job description

We Care

That’s why we need people like you. People who appreciate their role in helping others to be successful.

We have an opportunity for a Streetworks Coordinator to join our team, helping to ensure our works are planned, permitted and delivered in line with current legislation and client requirements.

You’ll play an important part in keeping our operations running smoothly, making sure permits and notices are raised accurately, deadlines are met and works are coordinated effectively to minimise disruption to the public.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…
  • Raising and managing permits and notices using Aurora (Symology), in line with NRSWA and Department for Transport requirements.
  • Monitoring permit conditions to ensure works take place within approved dates and times, and in accordance with traffic management requirements.
  • Submitting variations, extensions, early starts and cancellations as required.
  • Planning and coordinating works to minimise disruption to the public and surrounding areas.
  • Raising urgent and emergency notices within the required timescales and keeping accurate records.
  • Liaising with local authorities, utility providers and internal teams to avoid clashes and ensure works are programmed effectively.
  • Managing road space bookings and supporting the scheduling of activities.
  • Ensuring statutory notices, including start, stop and reinstatement notices, are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Working closely with Traffic Management teams to make sure permits align with traffic management plans.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for site teams, local authorities and other stakeholders, responding to queries and providing updates.
  • Monitoring performance and compliance to help reduce the risk of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).
  • Keeping permit, notice and activity records up to date, including daily updates and reporting.
We would love to hear from you if…

You have experience in a streetworks, permits or coordination role and a good understanding of NRSWA requirements and associated legislation.

You’ll be organised, have a good eye for detail and be comfortable managing several tasks and deadlines in a busy environment. Experience using Aurora (Symology) or a similar system would be beneficial.

Good communication skills are important, as you’ll be working with a range of people, including site teams, local authorities and other stakeholders. A proactive approach and the ability to keep on top of the detail will help you succeed in this role.
