NY Highways is looking for Street Sweeper Drivers to maintain roads, streets and public spaces around Skipton, North Yorkshire. The role combines road sweeping with highways maintenance support, offering a varied and frontline service that benefits local residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

NY Highways are looking for Street Sweeper Drivers to help maintain the roads, streets and public spaces in and around Skipton, North Yorkshire, making them clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. This is a varied role that combines street sweeping duties with hands on highways maintenance work, including supporting road repair and maintenance projects alongside our Highways teams when required.

This is more than just a driving role. It’s an opportunity to play a key part in delivering an essential front-line service that local residents, businesses and visitors rely on every day.

• Drive and operate LGV road sweeping vehicles
• Clean streets, pathways and public spaces
• Carry out tasks such as litter picking, bin emptying and weed removal
• Support winter maintenance, emergencies and environmental response
