Street Lighting Operations Manager
Oversee all PFI and 3rd Party Operations on the Northamptonshire Street Lighting PFI contract.
Interfaces
Internal: All staff at Northamptonshire PFI, peers throughout Contracts, enabling functions.
External: West and North Northamptonshire Authority customers, Connect Roads, auditors, system suppliers.
Accountabilities
- Overall accountability for operational safety and performance.
- Line manager responsibility for operations supervisors.
- Leadership role over all operatives and supervisors.
- Uncompromising approach to Zero Harm strategy within the contract.
- Ensure workforce is effectively resourced.
- Ensure workforce is trained and competent.
- Drive efficiency and right first-time operational delivery through effective works programming.
- Provide visible operational leadership both on site and within the depot.
- Proactively manage and support operational supervisors.
- Proactive short interval control of operational programme.
- Support supervisors in delivering effective briefings and stand-down sessions.
- Ensure that contract/project outcomes align with safety, quality, and financial targets.
- Engage with supply chain partners to ensure safe and effective deployment on the network.
- Provide support to the Contract Manager to ensure compliant contract operation.
- Engage with Asset, Design, and Commercial teams throughout project delivery to promote a cohesive team approach.

- Experienced in managing operational teams.
- Solution-oriented individual capable of analyzing risks and benefits of options to resolve issues.
- Proven proactive management experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task.
