Amey is hiring a permanent Highways Administrator to support the Walsall Street Lighting team. The role is on-site with options for hybrid/part-time patterns. You’ll handle administrative duties, maintain records, and help deliver timely services to the client, contributing to safe and well-lit roadways.

Ideal candidates have GCSE level education, experience in general administration, and proficiency with Word and Excel. The team values collaboration, reliability and a polite, helpful approach.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a generalist administration/business support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for admin tasks.
• Exposure to management systems or similar data entry/reporting applications.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships and be polite and helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records using management information systems.
• Undertake general administrative duties as part of the team.
• Distribute information to meet customer needs and ensure delivery.
• Input and maintain spreadsheets/databases to produce reports.
• Raise purchase orders and arrange payment of invoices.
• Administer petty cash and provide cover for reception when needed.
