Job summary

Ringway London seeks an experienced Supervisor (Street Lighting & Electrical) to lead reactive, cyclic and maintenance works across the East contract, based in Birchanger. You will manage frontline teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safe, compliant service delivery.

The role emphasizes planning, safety, RAMS reviews and the use of digital systems to streamline operations, with a strong focus on traffic management, health and environmental standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in street lighting or highway electrical maintenance environments.
• Knowledge of traffic management requirements and operational planning.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including excavation activities, work at height and around electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise multiple activities effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and team management.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and operational software systems.
• Ability to work independently and make informed operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational teams and subcontractors to meet productivity, quality and safety targets.
• Plan and coordinate reactive, maintenance and cyclic works.
• Arrange roadspace bookings and traffic management requirements.
• Manage materials, plant, equipment and stock to support delivery.
• Produce work packs in line with procedures and contract requirements.
