Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a NEAT Team Operative/Driver for Berwick-upon-Tweed. The role delivers street cleansing, public convenience and grounds-maintenance to set standards and schedules.

You will usually work at Tweedmouth Depot and cover outdoor duties in all weathers. This full-time fixed-term post requires a clean full driving licence, CoSHH awareness, and the ability to operate related tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Trained Grounds, Public Convenience and Street Cleansing Operative
• Experience with vehicle checks
• Knowledge of CoSHH safety policies and relevant legislation
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient street cleansing, public convenience and grounds-maintenance service to predetermined standards and schedules
• Operate and maintain plant and equipment as required
• Work outdoors in all weather and traffic conditions
• Be available to work at weekends
