Job summary

VN Appointments in the United Kingdom is seeking a Street Cleansing Supervisor to lead a team of Street Cleansing Operatives, delivering cleaning across public highways, open spaces, car parks and town centres.

The post holder will drive and operate vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW, perform pre-use inspections, report defects, maintain vehicle cleanliness and support colleagues to meet safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• A valid Category C (Class 2) HGV driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification/card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• The ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
• A flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely, complying with road traffic laws and fleet standards.
• Complete pre-use and daily vehicle inspections for vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW.
• Report defects promptly and maintain vehicle safety.
• Keep vehicles and cab clean and presentable.
• Provide flexible, team-based support to meet service requirements.
• Assist supervision in coordinating Street Cleansing Operatives.
• Work within service hours 06:00–20:00, with weekends/bank holidays as rota.
