Qualifications

• Experience in a strategy, transformation, business planning, consultancy or similar role.
• Demonstrate strong strategic thinking & problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into insight.
• Confident managing relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for varied audiences.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience producing executive reports and business updates.
• Strong planning, organisation & prioritisation skills.

B&M is one of the UK's fastest-growing retailers, and we're looking for an experienced and commercially aware Strategy Manager to help shape and deliver our strategic priorities. This is a high-impact role that will work closely with senior leaders across the business, supporting strategic planning, governance, analysis and stakeholder engagement to drive business performance and long-term growth.

This role is ideally suited to someone who combines strong analytical capability with strategic thinking and enjoys influencing business decisions through insight, collaboration and effective planning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple functions, providing support to key business initiatives and helping ensure strategic objectives are translated into successful outcomes.

The Key Responsibilities of the role are:

• Supporting the development and delivery of B&M's strategic plan and business priorities.
• Researching market, competitor and retail trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Providing data-led insight, analysis and strategic recommendations to support decision making.
• Supporting prioritisation, governance and planning activities across strategic programmes and initiatives.
• Tracking strategic objectives, risks and dependencies to ensure progress remains on plan.
• Producing clear and engaging executive reports, presentations and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitating strategy workshops, planning sessions and decision-making forums.
• Maintaining strategic roadmaps, governance documentation and action logs.
• Building strong relationships across the business while providing constructive challenge where required.
• Coordinating activity across teams to ensure strategic priorities progress effectively and deliver intended outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience in a strategy, transformation, business planning, consultancy or similar role.
• Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight.
• Be confident managing relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing decision making.
• Have exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
• Be comfortable providing constructive challenge and supporting business leaders in making informed decisions.
• Have advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Bring experience producing high-quality executive reports, presentations and business updates.
• Demonstrate excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Be capable of managing multiple workstreams while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Have experience facilitating meetings, workshops and collaborative planning sessions.
• Possess strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how business decisions impact performance.
• Be proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and work effectively across a range of business functions.
