Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Workforce Planning Lead based in Scotland, with a mandate to optimise resource management across the portfolio. The role requires spending 50% of the working week in the office in Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness, with permanent, full-time status and a competitive salary package.

You will coordinate resource demand, oversee allocations across the Transmission portfolio, and support contingent workers through approved suppliers, contributing to efficient project

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in resource management with leadership capabilities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills for managing data and processes.
• Ability to handle pressure and adapt to unexpected challenges.
• Familiarity with contingent worker management, renewal processes and rate negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills across internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes for effective resource management, monitoring demand and utilisation, and re-allocation opportunities.
• Set up and embed demand management processes for Programme Project Services; engage with projects to plan resource demand.
• Manage contingent workers through approved suppliers and renewals to support project needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve resource management practices and stay updated on market trends and tools.
• Coordinate with HR and recruitment to support resource management activities.
