Job summary

Flex is seeking a Transport Logistics Team Leader to oversee transport operations in Kendal, UK, reporting to the EMEA Customs Manager. The role focuses on managing storage, shipping and delivery of finished goods across UK facilities, optimising cost and delivery performance while ensuring compliance with Flex standards.

You will liaise with suppliers, carriers, warehouse managers and project teams to drive continuous improvements, monitor KPIs and maintain accurate shipment data, with

Qualifications

• Experience leading logistics, transportation, or distribution operations.
• Strong understanding of road freight and multimodal transportation.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, customs requirements, and international shipping regulations.
• Familiarity with trade compliance principles and Incoterms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).

Responsibilities

• Monitor transport operations and KPIs to optimise cost, scheduling and on-time delivery.
• Organise regular business reviews with transport suppliers.
• Ensure SOPs are in place for all transport suppliers.
• Oversee daily transport activities and ensure safe handling and timely dispatch of goods.
• Manage freight cost and freight P&L and forecast costs.
