Flex, based in Kendal, Cumbria, seeks a Customs and Trade Compliance Coordinator to lead UK import/export compliance and governance. You will develop policies, ensure documentation accuracy, and support audits while liaising with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires a degree in a related field, strong regulatory knowledge, and travel within the UK North West. A competitive package and benefits are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of Customs and Trade Compliance regulations and EU guidelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel 10–20% within the UK North West.

Aufgaben

• Maintain knowledge of import/export regulations and trade initiatives.
• Develop and maintain policies and internal controls for customs compliance.
• Ensure import/export documentation complies with customs standards.
• Carry out regular customs compliance activity including classification, valuation and origin.
• Notify manager of audits or non-compliance and take corrective action.
• Perform Sanction Lists and Restricted/Denied Party Lists screening.
• Advise business on customs and international trade requirements.
• Maintain HMRC-compliant record-keeping systems.
• Support audits by authorities and internal teams.
• Act as CBAM authorised declarant for UK operations.
• Provide training to vendors and staff on customs compliance.

Ausbildung

Degree in Supply Chain, Customs, Business Administration or equivalent
