Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a proactive and motivated professional to influence development while protecting and enhancing the natural environment. You will coordinate pre-planning and planning advice on strategic growth proposals, influencing developers and authorities, and leading multi-functional approaches across water quality, resources, flood risk and climate change.

• Coordinate pre-planning and planning advice on strategic growth proposals, working with developers, local authorities, government departments and housing delivery organisations.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver innovative multi-functional approaches to environmental issues including water quality, water resources, flood risk and climate change.
• Proactively lead at a senior strategic level to develop and maintain external networks supporting organisational objectives, mindful of political sensitivities.
• Provide strong technical leadership that inspires, motivates and develops the team and other colleagues.
• Support the Team Leader in developing the team and taking ownership of improvement initiatives and actions.
• Regular travel to offices and sites to meet customers and partners.
