Job summary

The Environment Agency in Warrington is seeking a Water Resources Planning professional to lead assessment of statutory Water Resources Management Plans and drought plans. You will collaborate with water companies and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulator expectations and deliver timely guidance.

You will contribute to incident response and business continuity, working with national stakeholders to inform policy and planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in water resources or a related field.
• Knowledge of water resources planning and drought plans.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in writing and verbally.
• Experience with large data sets and interpreting data.
• Membership of a professional body (CIWEN) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on water company statutory Water Resources Management Plans.
• Provide timely assessment of water company plans and address questions from colleagues and the company.
• Contribute to incident management and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to inform statutory water resources plans.
• Travel to EA offices or sites as required.
