Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is recruiting a Structural Steel Business Development Manager in the UK. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and driving sales across the structural steel and construction sectors.

You will work closely with estimating, production and operations to shepherd projects from enquiry to order, ensuring excellent service and healthy margins.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
• Experience selling into structural steel or wider construction sectors.
• Confident developing both new and existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across structural steel and construction sectors.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, developers, fabricators and key decision makers.
• Manage existing customer accounts, identify opportunities to increase sales and secure repeat business.
• Prepare accurate and commercially competitive quotations.
• Follow up quotations and negotiate orders.
• Manage projects from enquiry through to handover into production and ensure timely delivery.
• Work with estimating, production and operations for smooth project delivery and communication with customers.
