Job summary

Waterton Academy Trust is seeking an experienced and highly skilled SEND leader to join as Trust SENCO, shaping inclusive practice across our 16 primary schools and 5 specialist settings.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for SEND, working with school leaders, SENCOs, families and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for children with additional needs in Wakefield and Barnsley.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and policy.
• Proven track record of driving improvement in SEND provision.
• Ability to influence and inspire across multi-site settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND across the Trust.
• Collaborate with school leaders, SENCOs, families and external agencies to ensure needs are met.
• Evaluate provision and drive continuous improvement in inclusion across all schools.
